How we wrote this: This comparison is built from Dubsado’s and 17hats’ public pricing pages, linked inline. We haven’t run a business on either tool, so there are no first-hand claims, ratings or testimonials here. Please test both free trials yourself.
The short answer
- Dubsado publishes two clear plans, Starter $335/yr and Premier $525/yr, with a 21-day free trial of Premier (no card). Scheduling and automated workflows are Premier-only.
- 17hats headlines one all-inclusive plan at $60/month, $600/year or $800 for two years, with a 7-day free trial you can restart. But the same pricing page also describes three levels with different limits, so it’s not clear what the single price includes (see the note below).
- On published prices, Dubsado is cheaper: Premier works out to about $43.75/mo billed yearly vs 17hats’ $50/mo on the yearly plan.

A note on 17hats’ pricing page
We want to be upfront: 17hats’ pricing page contradicts itself as of 2026-10-24.
- The top of the page says “our one all inclusive plan provides you nearly everything you need” at $60/mo, $600/yr or $800 for two years.
- Further down, an “In-Depth Look at Each Level” grid shows three levels with different limits: 20 / 35 / unlimited documents per month (quotes, contracts, invoices and questionnaires each count), 1 / 3 / 20 lead capture forms, and support response targets of 1 day / 4 hours / 1 hour.
- The FAQ refers to Essentials, Standard and Premier plans and says branding is removed on “Level Two and Three”.
- Add-ons are listed in the grid: online scheduling basic $5/mo or advanced $10/mo, time tracking $5/mo, recurring billing $10/mo, bank connection $5/mo, QuickBooks Online $5/mo. The grid doesn’t make clear which levels include them.
What this means for you: before paying, ask 17hats (live chat or the free 1:1 call it offers) which document limit, lead-form limit and add-ons the $60/$600/$800 plan includes. Until that’s confirmed, don’t assume “unlimited documents” or included scheduling.
Feature differences that matter (from each pricing page)
Automations
- Dubsado: automated workflows are Premier only ($525/yr). Starter has none.
- 17hats: lists to-do workflows, “advanced workflow” and lead-capture-form workflow triggers, plus an auto-responder for leads. Which level includes which isn’t clear (see the note above).
Scheduling
- Dubsado: scheduling is Premier only; calendar connection on both plans.
- 17hats: online scheduling is listed as an add-on ($5/mo basic, $10/mo advanced with pay-at-booking and Zoom links).
Bookkeeping and accounting
- Dubsado: “bookkeeping integration” on Premier.
- 17hats: built-in bookkeeping, sales tax, profit/loss and receivables reports; bank connection $5/mo and QuickBooks Online $5/mo listed as add-ons.
Industry extras
- 17hats: lists special handling for leads from The Knot / WeddingWire, plus Stripe and Square for payments (tipping, saved cards, recurring billing).
- Dubsado: Zapier integration and public proposals on Premier; multi-brand pricing is clear ($10/mo per brand).

Honest cons
Dubsado:
- Scheduling, workflows, public proposals and Zapier all require Premier.
- Only annual prices are shown on the pricing page.
- Plan to spend time building your own forms and workflows.
17hats:
- The pricing page is inconsistent (one plan vs three levels), which makes it hard to know what you’ll get.
- The headline price is higher than Dubsado’s on yearly billing ($600 vs $525 for Premier).
- Scheduling, time tracking, recurring billing, bank connection and QuickBooks are listed as paid add-ons.
- The 7-day trial is short (though it can be restarted).
How to decide in one afternoon
- Write down what you need: automations? scheduling? bookkeeping? how many documents a month?
- Ask 17hats to confirm in writing what its $60/$600/$800 plan includes.
- Start both trials (Dubsado 21 days, 17hats 7 days) and run one test client from inquiry → contract → invoice.
- Pick the one that handled that flow with the fewest workarounds, and re-check prices on the day you buy.
